Your website, done right.
Everything you need to know about building your new website with us: how it works, how to prepare and what we take care of for you. No jargon, no surprises.
Built around you, not a template.

Five things that make projects fly.
Websites rarely stall on design or code. They stall on content, decisions and access. Get these sorted and your project will move fast.
Bring the right people
Your discovery workshop works best with the decision-maker, someone who talks to customers every day and whoever will update the site.
Pick one decision-maker
One person who gathers feedback from the team and gives us a single, combined set of comments. It's the biggest time-saver there is.
Start content early
Copy and images are the number one cause of delays. Use our content checklist and page briefs to plan who's writing what.
Sort access safely
Domain, hosting, analytics and email. Invite us as a user rather than sharing passwords. See section 05.
Gather inspiration
Websites you love (any industry), competitors you admire and anything you definitely don't want.
Think about your customers
What do they ask most? What do they need to know before they buy? Their questions shape the best websites.

GrowYour website. Your accounts. Always.
Everything important is set up in your organisation's name, with us invited as a user. If we ever parted ways, you'd keep everything.
Domain name
Registered to you (e.g. GoDaddy, 123-reg, Namecheap). We help with settings but never take ownership.
Hosting
On your own account, or on our managed hosting as part of a care plan. Either way you can move at any time.
Website & design files
Once paid for, the site, its design and custom code are yours, along with admin logins.
Content & images
Your words and photos stay yours. Stock and fonts we buy are licensed for your use.
Analytics & Search Console
Google Analytics, Tag Manager and Search Console all set up in your Google account.
Your email
We never touch your email (MX) records without checking with you first. Your inbox stays safe during launch.
The small print, made simple.
We build these in as standard, so your website is something you can launch with confidence.
Privacy, cookies & consent We handle
Your website needs a privacy policy explaining how you use visitors' data. Under UK rules (UK GDPR and PECR), non-essential cookies such as analytics and advertising pixels need consent before they're set, through a proper cookie banner where "reject" is as easy as "accept".
We set up a compliant cookie banner and help you with policy wording. You stay responsible for the final content of your policies.
Accessibility We handle
We design and build to the WCAG 2.2 AA standard: readable contrast, clear headings, keyboard navigation, image descriptions and accessible forms. It helps the one in five people with a disability, improves SEO and is good practice for everyone.
Public sector bodies have a legal duty to meet accessibility regulations and publish an accessibility statement. Tell us if that applies to you.
Copyright, images & fonts Shared
Only use images, videos and text you own or have a licence for. Images "found on Google" can lead to costly claims. Stock images, fonts and plugins we buy for your site are licensed for your use.
Selling online Shared
If you sell to consumers, UK law requires clear prices (including VAT), delivery information, your business details, and a cancellation right (usually 14 days for most goods and many services). Your terms and conditions should cover these. We build the pages; your terms should be checked by your adviser.
Data protection agreement We handle
If your site collects personal data (enquiries, bookings, orders, accounts) and we host or manage it, we act as your data processor. UK GDPR requires a short written agreement, which you can sign online in Templates.
Security & backups We handle
SSL (https), secure hosting, regular updates, daily backups and security monitoring are included with every care plan. Without a care plan, we'll hand these responsibilities over to you or your IT provider at launch, with a clear guide.
Search rankings when you redesign We handle
Changing a website can lose search rankings if old page addresses disappear. We map every old address to its new home with redirects, keep your best-performing content and monitor Search Console after launch.
This guide is general information to help you prepare. It isn't legal advice. Your proposal and our terms of business set out the agreement between us.

Planning
Which platform will you use?
Whatever suits you best. Most business sites are built on WordPress or Webflow, online shops on Shopify or WooCommerce, and bespoke tools are custom-coded. We'll recommend the right one in your discovery workshop and explain why.
Do I have to write all the content?
No. You know your business best, so we'll ask for bullet points, facts and examples. We can write or polish the copy for you, optimised for search. Just let us know in your questionnaire.
How long will it take?
Most business websites take 3 to 6 weeks from discovery to launch. Landing pages can be done in 1 to 2 weeks. The biggest factor is how quickly content and feedback come in.
Can you work with our existing brand?
Absolutely. We'll follow your brand guidelines. If you don't have any, we'll create a simple style (colours, fonts, imagery) as part of the design stage.
During the build
How do we give feedback?
You'll get a private link to review designs and the site in progress, on any device. Please send one combined set of feedback per round from everyone who needs to approve.
What if we want to change something later?
Small tweaks within the agreed scope are included in your revision rounds. Bigger additions are quoted through a change request, and nothing changes until you approve it.
Will our current site go down?
No. We build on a private staging site, and your current site stays live until the moment we switch over, usually in minutes at a quiet time.
After launch
Can we update it ourselves?
Yes. Every site comes with training and a simple guide, so you can edit text, images, blog posts and products without calling us.
Do we need a care plan?
It's optional. Websites need updates, backups and security monitoring. A care plan means we handle it. Without one, we'll hand it all over to you or your IT provider.
Will we show up on Google?
We build in strong SEO foundations: fast pages, clean structure, titles, descriptions, a sitemap and Search Console setup. Ranking for competitive terms takes ongoing effort, and our Growth plan or marketing services can help.
Money & ownership
Are there hidden costs?
No. Your quote is fixed. Ongoing costs such as your domain (around £10–£20 a year), hosting or a care plan, and any paid plugins or apps are listed in your proposal before you sign.
Who owns the website?
You do. Once paid, the design, content and custom code are yours, and every account is in your name. No lock-in.
Do you offer charity rates?
Yes. Eligible charities, CICs and social enterprises get 15% to 25% off through our Nectar programme, depending on size and impact, plus 90 days' support and 60-day payment terms. See Nectar.
Do you work with clients outside the UK?
Yes. We work with clients across the UK, US, UAE and Africa, remotely and in your time zone where we can, and can quote in GBP, USD or AED.
Let's build a website that works as hard as you do.
Send your discovery questionnaire and we'll take it from there. Want to see what we've built for others first? Our work speaks for itself.
